Speaker Biography

Dr. Fred Metzger, Clinical Pathology

Dr. Fred Metzger is a 1986 graduate of the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with specialties in canine and feline medicine. He is an Adjunct Professor at Penn State University and serves on the practitioner advisory boards of Veterinary Economics and Veterinary Medicine magazines. He co-authored “A Guide to Hematology for the Dog and Cat” with Drs. Alan Rebar and most recently authored a 3 part series on “Evaluating the 3 Minute Peripheral Blood Film” in Veterinary Medicine Magazine. Dr. Metzger owns the Metzger Animal Hospital, a four-doctor practice in State College, Pennsylvania.
