REGISTRATION

HOW DO I REGISTER?

WHAT IS THE ACVC REFUND POLICY?

Full refund of registration fees if written request is received by September 16, 2016.  A $75 fee will apply for all refund requests received after September 16, 2016.  No refund will be provided if request to cancel is received after October 7, 2016.

DO YOU GIVE A CONVENTION DISCOUNT TO RETIRED, SENIOR VETERINARIANS?

No, unfortunately not.  Due to food and labor costs, we must charge regular price.

WHAT ARE THE TOTAL CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS AVAILABLE?

One (1) Continuing Education (CE) Credit is awarded for 50 minutes of actual instruction time for in person presentations.

RACE CREDITS

This program 79-26236 is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 292.00 CE Credits (25.00 max) being available to any one veterinarian: and/or 292.00 Veterinary Technician CE Credits (25.00 max). This RACE approval is for the subject matter categorie(s) of:

Category One: Scientific
Category Two: Non-Scientific-Clinical
Category Three: Non-Scientific-Practice Management/Professional Development

using the delivery method(s) of: Seminar/LectureLab/Wet Lab. This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board's CE requirements.

NY State CE

The New York State Board of Veterinary Medicine has approved the ACVC as a sponsor of continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

CE Credits Per Day

Tuesday, October 18 - Up to 8 CE Hours
Wednesday, October 19 - Up to 9 CE Hours
Thursday, October 20 - Up to 8 CE Hours


WHAT MEALS ARE INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION?

There is a welcome reception on Monday evening that includes drinks and light hors d'oeuvres.  Breakfast is provided each morning during the General Session.  Boxed lunches are provided, in the exhibit hall, each afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, there are receptions in the exhibit hall that provides light hors d'oeuvres. 

WILL REGISTRATION MATERIALS BE SENT TO ME PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE?

Yes, once you register for the conference, a QR code will be included in your confirmation email. Please bring that QR code (in the form of a print out or on your mobile device) to check-in and receive your name badge at the conference.

LUNCH WITH THE PROFESSOR:

“Lunch with the Professor” lunch seminars are discussion based, informal sessions with one of our selected speakers. “Lunch with the Professor” seminars are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Tickets to attend these seminars must be purchased in advanced as space is limited. A separate lunch will be served to the attendees who register for this seminar.

CAN I BRING A GUEST WITH ME?

Yes. Guest fees include access to the Exhibit Hall and lunch, but no access to speaker seminars. However, since the Tuesday and Wednesday receptions are located in the Exhibit Hall, guests may attend those functions. Guests are only allowed to attend if they are affiliated with a veterinary professional registered for the conference.

 

EXHIBIT HALL

IS THIS CONFERENCE/EXHIBIT HALL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?

No.  You must be a veterinary professional to attend.

I WOULD LIKE ACCESS TO THE EXHIBIT HALL ONLY.  HOW DO I ATTAIN ACCESS?

ACVC does not offer Exhibit Hall Only passes. Please register for a Full Conference or One Day Pass for access to the exhibit hall.

MISCELLANEOUS

ARE CHILDCARE SERVICES AVAILABLE AT THE CONFERENCE?

No. Childcare services are not available at ACVC.

WILL THERE BE AN AREA FOR BREASTFEEDING?

The conference does not supply a room for breastfeeding, however there is an EMT room outside the General Session room that may be used for this purpose.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE CONVENTION CENTER?

Yes, covered parking is available at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Parking is $12 per day. Drivers will receive a parking ticket upon entrance into the garage. Please place ticket in pay stations located throughout the garage before exiting the garage. Pay stations take both cash and credit cards.

IS THERE FREE PARKING AT THE SHERATON HOTEL?

No

ARE PETS ALLOWED INSIDE THE CONVENTION CENTER?

Animals and pets are NOT permitted inside the Convention Center, with the exception of service animals that have proper identification. Demonstrations and workshops using live animals will need to sign an animal waiver from the ACVC and the Atlantic City Convention Center.  

IS THERE A COAT OR BAG CHECK?

Yes, a coat/bag check will be located next to Registration on the 2nd Floor. The cost is $3.00 per item in cash only.

PROCEEDINGS

WHEN WILL CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS BECOME AVAILABLE?

Pre-Conference online proceedings access will be available approximately the last week of September. Registered attendees who provide us with a valid email address will receive an email from VIN (proceedings host) with a password and access instructions.

WHEN ARE PRINTED PROCEEDINGS BOOK ORDERS DUE? IF PAST THE DEADLINE, CAN I STILL ORDER A COPY?

All orders for printed proceedings must be received no later than September 16, 2016.  If you have missed the deadline and would still like to purchase a copy, please see the registration desk onsite.  We will have an idea if we have extra copies available.
